CAIMAN 1

The group offers a smooth transition from Learn to swim Lessons to the Gators Competitive program.

The squad caters for athletes primarily aged between 6- 9 years of age who are beginning their competitive swimming journey in a fun, friendly and educational environment.

Swimmers are expected to attend at least a minimum of 3 sessions per week out of the four

CAIMAN 2

This is the second progression in the gators training pathways, and helps swimmers strengthen the foundation of competitive technique skills across all four strokes with emphasis on medley swimming

Athletes will be encouraged to focus on the process and enjoyment of racing as they develop habits that will continue throughout their competitive journey

Swimmers are generally 8 - 11 years of age and are expected to attend at least a minimum of 4 sessions per week

CAIMAN 3

This is the third progression in the gators training pathways and aims at solidifying the foundation of competitive technique & skills across all four strokes with an emphasis on medley swimming

Participants will take build racing experience from club based competitions to make qualifying times for the Uganda national age group championship

Swimmers are generally 9 - 12 years of age and are expected to attend 5 - 6 sessions per week and attend competitions as per competition schedules

CROCODILES

This is the fourth step in the Gators Swim Club training pathways and aims at developing a solid training foundation that will enable swimmers to be competitive at the national age group level

Swimmers at this stage will develop a comprehensive set of racing skills and strategies and begin to be exposed to high training loads

Athletes are generally 11 -14 years of age and are expected to attend 6 - 7 sessions per week and competitions as per the competition calendar

GATORS

This is the fifth squad of Gators Swim Club training pathways, and seeks to transition age group swimmers into national junior swimmers

The swimmers in this group continue to develop their training foundation and skill levels to enable them transition into senior athletes

Swimmers are generally 13 - 17 years of age and are expected to attend at least 8 sessions per week and compete at national level as per club calendar

NATIONAL OPEN

This is the sith squad and top level of the Gators Swim Club training pathways, and its primary focus is to prepare open swimmers for national championships

Entry in this squad is by invitation from the Head Coach, swimmers must be nationally qualified in multiple events.

Swimmers should generally be 16 years of age or older and are expected to attend 8 - 10 sessions per week and compete at national level.
